Corporate vs Public Ownership of Water

Food & Water Watch is an independent public interest organization championing healthy food and clean water for all. They recently issued a new report on the high cost of corporate water. Scow will summarize the report, discuss its findings, and respond to questions.

According to their national survey of 500 water systems, the Monterey Peninsula has the 9th most expensive water in the country! In fact American Water Works, Cal Am’s holding company, was responsible for 6 of the top 10 most expensive water systems in the country.
